I entered the Mechanical Engineering Sector of Australia as a Mechanical Estimator which serves in the Building Services Sector. I could develop an in depth knowledge and experience on Australian HVAC industry by working on various projects ranging from Government projects such as RAAF base, HMAS, Police station, Hospital, Schools and residential buildings across Sydney and Adelaide.

Mechanical Estimator

  • Reading and understanding mechanical scope from the project specification
  • Preparing quotes for chilled water, hot water, condenser water and refrigeration projects
  • Estimating piping of plant rooms for both new projects and fit-out
  • Matching the equipment schedule with the schematic diagram and layout to find discrepancies and discussing with the client to solve it
  • Reviewing revised drawings and finding changes in the schematic, equipment schedule and layout to revise the quote
  • Preparing BOM using Simpro with bill of materials and labor to cover entire cost of our scope in the project
  • Drafting quote letter in detail for tendering
  • Addition of piping details into layout diagrams using AutoCAD and Revit
