As a mechanical building services professional with over 7 years of experience spanning the Middle East, Singapore, and Australia, I possess a deep understanding of construction design consultancy. My expertise encompasses mechanical concept design, design development, construction supervision, scope management, and interdisciplinary coordination. Over the past 3 years at SEED Engineers, I have expanded my skillset to include sustainable design and engineering modelling, with a focus on ESD strategies, energy efficiency analyses, thermal comfort studies, and advanced modelling techniques for solar PV, carpark ventilation CFD, kitchen odour, and bushfire tenability assessments. 

In my daily work, I apply my expertise to deliver high-performance building solutions, undertaking Section J assessments, building performance evaluations, and optimising mechanical system designs to achieve sustainable and financially viable outcomes for my clients across a diverse range of projects.

Lead Mechanical Engineer

CPEC is a prominent consultancy of experienced professionals providing innovative solutions to architectural and engineering problems in the construction and built environment sector, catering to real estate companies, private landowners, contractors and design companies based in Oman.

Roles:

  • Managed all design and project functions of the Mechanical & Electrical Department (MEP)
  • Oversaw interdisciplinary coordination between MEP and other disciplines to minimise conflicts
  • Reviewed mechanical and electrical design work and drawings prior to formal issue
  • Performed calculations and designed systems for HVAC, plumbing and firefighting services
  • Secured mandatory authority approvals for certain design aspects such as fire & life safety

Mechanical Engineering Manager

Atkins is a British multinational engineering, design, planning, architectural design, project management and consulting services company. It is one of the world’s most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies. It is a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group and is headquartered in London, UK.

Role:

  • Led the Mechanical team on the refurbishment design for the conversion of the old international airport into a cultural and heritage centre including an aviation museum
  • Designed systems and formulated strategies for air conditioning, ventilation, chilled water, plumbing and firefighting in compliance with international codes and standards and best practices
  • Managed risks and client expectations in the project to ensure that the design was practically feasible and economical
  • Performed engineering calculations and produced schematics in AutoCAD for mechanical systems
  • Reviewed mechanical drawing outputs and coordinated the designs in BIM to resolve clashes with other disciplines
