Leading the junior design team and ensure the electrical documentation. A challenging project which was program lead by services engineers, and a twenty-week design program condensed into ten. Required close and constant co-ordination with interior design, façade, internal and landscape architecture teams.

Centennial Park Equestrian Centre

Project to review condition and staged replacement of all in ground electrical services. Unique challenges of replacement of aged site wide submain cabling. Challenges of keeping 365-day open to public facility running during works. Requirement to maintain site operation for leased Horse Hire Companies and Equestrian training businesses. As well as maintaining facilities for full-time animals in residence. Unique solution of cutting and capping cable pits to minimise loss of supply.

Project to develop two small two level warehouse buildings into four floor boutique Office Development. Unique in that two separate titles to remain (to facilitate future sale of either 17 or 19-21). All services designed to have sperate day one, or minimal additional works to separate electrical services in future.

North Shire Health Hub (15,750m2)

Specialist consulting rooms and medical suites building located in the North Shore Hospital precinct. Combined Class 7, 9a and 5 Building. Detailed Design and co-ordination of all Electrical Base Building Services. Including electrical, EPG, Comms, Security, Access control, CCTV, DAS MATV/PTV, Lightning Protection, Lighting and EM Lighting for 4 Level Underground Car Park, 97 Tenancy Suites and Basement Linear Accelerator bunker.

Vodafone Headquarters (12,000m2)

Providing cost control, design input management and technical leadership to junior design team of electrical engineers. The project was challenging as it was essentially 2 projects in one- the fit out, and the main IT. Additional variations and works were also won to provide SCEC (security) consultancy; and specialist Main Comms Room (MCR) design, and Fire Engineering Services.

The project was high level detailed design of ‘high end’, penthouse level office fit out. Challenges overcome were that the building is very inflexible to modify. Especially with architect and client requiring hub/café/kitchen in path of all services returning to core.

Site supervision during construction of Embedded Network upgrade. Conversion of metering and CT chambers for 13 Main Switchboards over of 80,000m2 retail shopping centre.

Provide design and project management of all services. Project challenges included refurbishment deign for student union facilities with no existing documentation, and no survey opportunity prior to design. However, due to close site co-ordination, Services Variations arising during construction totalled only 3% of all variations.

Retail Centres Lighting Upgrade

Senior Design Engineer of LED lighting upgrade for replacement of all mall lighting. Project included determination of payback and justification report, c/w modelling for varying manufacturer alternatives.

Sydney Wharves Upgrade Program

Senior Design Engineer of Rose Bay, Neutral Bay, Milsons Point, Cremorne Point. Kurraba and McMahons Point Ferry Terminals. Project comprised full design of the electrical services for the wharves. Including site visits to determine the existing services and required power supply upgrades, ferry lighting, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Customer Information Systems and Microwave Communications. Onerous Local Council Requirements and high charges for reinstatement of surfaces after trenching required innovated options for reticulation.

Zinc was Port Moresby’s first residence certified to international security standards (ISO 28000). Ryan’s role was to design and detail all electrical, communications, lighting, lightning protection, and security/access control systems within the complex.

Consisting of ground floor retail; one level of commercial office space; 26 floors of 1,2 & 3 bedroom residential; including 5 levels of underground car parking.
